Motherhood: The Deep Desire to Create | Dr. Joan speaks with Frances Jones Part 2

The desire to have children varies among individuals, driven by diverse motivations. Some seek to create a biological legacy, while others yearn for something greater than themselves or to fill an emotional void. Validation and the aspiration to build a loving family are also common reasons. However, it is crucial to recognize that solely focusing on the pursuit of a biological child can lead to neglecting other important aspects of life, potentially causing harm. It is essential to cultivate self-love, embrace the entirety of our lives, cherish our relationships, and nurture the inner aspects of ourselves as much as we value the external.

In this episode of Hey, I’m Listening, Dr. Joan speaks with Frances Jones about Motherhood: The Deep Desire to Create
